Subcommittee on Major Information Systems August 26, 1998 House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Major Information Systems 75th Legislature August 26, 1998 10:00 am Capitol Extension, E1.030 Pursuant to a notice posted on August 4, 1998, the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Major Information Systems met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Kubiak at 10:05 am. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Kubiak; Averitt; Finnell; Glaze; Hochberg; Mowery; Pitts (7). Absent: Representatives Greenberg; Raymond (2). A quorum was present. (Representative Greenberg now present.) Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.) The subcommittee considered their draft interim report. Representative Greenberg offered an amendment to the draft report to recommend that the 76th Legislature consider the impact of legislation on the Year 2000 efforts of local government entities. The amendment was adopted without objection. Representative Greenberg offered an amendment to the draft report to recommend requiring the Department of Information Resources to coordinate with the Legislative Budget Board in the preparation of fiscal notes that include information on the technology impact of legislation. The amendment was adopted without objection. The report, as amended, was adopted without objection.
