         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 10, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Pete  
         Patterson at 8:10 am.

         Representative Turner, Bob offered an amendment to the  
         measure.   
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection.   
          
         Representative Turner, Bob moved that SB 1590, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.   
          
         The motion prevailed by the following vote:
