    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                         Marvin Elmo Kleckley
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
    1-6  of Crockett in mourning the loss of Marvin Elmo Kleckley who died
    1-7  March 2, 1995, at the age of 85; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born March 4, 1909, in Crockett, Marvin Kleckley
    1-9  was a retired retail merchant; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Mr. Kleckley was respected
   1-11  in the community for his many accomplishments; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he
   1-13  gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and
   1-14  valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, A devout Christian, he was a member of Central
   1-16  Baptist Church and was a longtime secretary at Victory Sunday
   1-17  School; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Marvin Kleckley was a devoted husband, father, and
   1-19  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
   1-20  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-22  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
   1-23  bereaved family of Marvin Elmo Kleckley:  his wife, Ruby Kleckley;
    2-1  his son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Patsy Kleckley; his
    2-2  daughter, Eva Woolley; his sister, Jessie Kleckley; and his eight
    2-3  grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
    2-5  members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
    2-6  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
    2-7  in memory of Marvin Kleckley.
