                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The members of the Texas House of Representatives
    1-2  are proud to honor our colleague, the Honorable Diana Davila, on
    1-3  the momentous occasion of her 27th birthday; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Born on April 5, 1966, Representative Davila is the
    1-5  youngest current member of the house of representatives, and her
    1-6  youthful energy and enthusiasm have distinguished her work on
    1-7  behalf of the people of District 145; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Representative Davila demonstrated her intelligence,
    1-9  initiative, and capacity for hard work early in life as a student
   1-10  at Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston and went on to earn a
   1-11  bachelor's degree from Harvard University; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Although only in her first term as a member of the
   1-13  house, Representative Davila took office already thoroughly
   1-14  prepared for her duties, having served for three years as an aide
   1-15  to our former colleague, the Honorable Roman Martinez; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, During the regular session of the 73rd Legislature,
   1-17  she has proven to be a valued member of the house committees on
   1-18  urban affairs and human services, where she has provided her
   1-19  insight and expertise on issues of vital interest to her
   1-20  constituents and all the people of Texas; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Representative Davila has established herself as a
   1-22  knowledgeable and hardworking legislator, and the members of this
   1-23  body take great pleasure in acknowledging her contributions to the
    2-1  people of Texas on this special occasion; now, therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-3  Legislature hereby congratulate the Honorable Diana Davila on the
    2-4  occasion of her 27th birthday and extend to her best wishes for the
    2-5  future; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-7  prepared for Representative Davila as an expression of highest
    2-8  esteem by her colleagues in the house of representatives.
