                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the composition of certain state senate districts.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  (a)  The districts of the Texas Senate as
    1-5  established by Chapter 1, Acts of the 72nd Legislature, 3rd Called
    1-6  Session, 1992, are modified as follows:
    1-7              (1)  block 103 of Harris County tract 022302 is
    1-8  transferred from District 15 to District 6;
    1-9              (2)  block 401 of Dallas County tract 0118 is
   1-10  transferred from District 2 to District 23; and
   1-11              (3)  blocks 613 and 614 of Bexar County tract 120285
   1-12  are transferred from District 26 to District 19.
   1-13        (b)  In this section, "block" and "tract" have the meanings
   1-14  assigned by Section 1, Article III, Chapter 1, Acts of the 72nd
   1-15  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 1992.
   1-16        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-17  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-18  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-19  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-20  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-21  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-22  passage, and it is so enacted.
