                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the composition of certain state districts of the state
    1-3  house of representatives.
    1-4        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-5        SECTION 1.  (a)  The districts of the Texas House of
    1-6  Representatives established by Chapter 2, Acts of the 72nd
    1-7  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 1992, are modified as follows:
    1-8              (1)  block 103 of Harris County tract 022302 is
    1-9  transferred from District 142 to District 140;
   1-10              (2)  block 304 of Dallas County tract 009606 is
   1-11  transferred from District 114 to District 103; and
   1-12              (3)  blocks 613 and 614 of Bexar County tract 120285
   1-13  are transferred from District 120 to District 115.
   1-14        (b)  In this section, "block" and "tract" have the meanings
   1-15  assigned by Section 1, Article III, Chapter 2, Acts of the 72nd
   1-16  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 1992.
   1-17        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-18  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-19  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-20  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-21  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-22  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-23  passage, and it is so enacted.
